52 Books in 52 Weeks - Week 6: How to Be a Hepburn in a Hilton World

This books is an incredibly witty primer for ladies wishing to make an impact in the world. In the face of today's celebrity drama, Jordan Christy has written a delightful book encouraging women everywhere to be women with self-respect and dignity. Using the term Stupid Girls to describe the phenomena (and she's not talking about intelligence), Ms. Christy writes:
I think it's safe to say we all know a Stupid Girl or two...They're obnoxious and, for some reason, always the center of attention. Why? Because smart, classy, and successful ladies' slots on the local news have been supplanted by a play-by-play of Paris's clinkworthy antics and Lindsay Lohan's spiral into rehab. Even when the limelight finally shifts away from one Stupid Girl it only shines on another one who is all too willing to sell her self-respect for a little "free" publicity...It appears as though the majority of our female generation is being represented by a couple of skinny airheads out in L.A.
Ms. Christy makes a great case for self-respect, modesty and hard work. Not only does she make the case, she gives practical tips to those who want be a Hepburn. Information on personal style, dress, how to work, choosing friends, makeup, how to spend your free time,  relating to men and more is covered in the latter part of the book. This book is enough to make any mother, human resources manager and many a man sing! I highly recommend How to Be a Hepburn in a Hilton World to any woman interested in establishing a good reputation amongst their friends and co-workers. This book is appropriate for ladies age 12 and up.
