Little Britches by Ralph Moody

This book can be summed up in one word - delightful! This book is part of our school reading for Sonlight Core 4. It is a well written "western" just right for a read aloud, although a typical 4th-5th grader could easily read it on their own. The language is wonderful - evoking the scenery in your imagination and enabling you to follow along with the conversation as if you were really there. Depicting wholesome morals - a refreshing thing in today's culture.
